William V. Looney, Jr.
William V. ("Bill") Looney is director of global client services at CBOE and head of CBOE's New York office. He joined the derivatives exchange group in 2012 after spending 15 years financial institutions, both on the institutional and retail sides.
Prior to joining CBOE, Looney spent ten years as an equity derivative sales trader, holding posts at Citigroup, Credit Suisse and Sanford C. Bernstein. He worked closely with hedge funds, mutual funds and asset managers, focusing on directional long/short and event driven trading strategies and risk-arbitrage.
Before covering institutional clients, Looney was a derivative strategist and structured product salesman at Salomon Smith Barney.
Looney graduated with honors from George Mason University School of Management, with a B.S. in finance and minor in economics.
