Adrienne Seaman is associate general counsel for Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea) with CME Group. The exchange hired Seaman from Taylor Wessing as its first Emea legal head in 2008 as part of an expansion of its legal team.[1]

Background[edit]

Seaman has led the in-house advice prior to the launch of CME Europe, a London-based futures exchange that launched in April 2014.[2] Before that, she served as a partner at Taylor Wessing, where she concentrated on IT law including internet trade, electronic banking and financial services, and intellectual property and commercial arrangements. She also served as Partner and Head of Business Technology for Stephenson Harwood, where she was responsible for a team of seven lawyers and the development of the firm's technology and outsourcing business.[3]

Education[edit]

Seaman holds a bachelor of laws from the London School of Economics, a master of laws from the University of London's University College and a legal practice diploma from Guildford College of Law.
