Alexander Höptner is the chief executive officer of BitMEX, which he joined in that role in January 2021.

He was previously the CEO and chairman of Boerse Stuttgart GmbH, CEO of Euwax AG, and authorized signatory of Euwax Aktiengesellschaft. He has been chairman since January 2018.[1] He left the boerse in November 2020.[2]

Before that, he was part of the Top50 Management Circle of Deutsche Börse Group and was a member of the management bodies of both the cash market and the IT department.[3]
