Andy Yemma is a corporate communications and public relations expert who is currently a consultant. He was managing partner of Intermarket Communications, responsible for media services, account management and business development, from January 1998 to December 2013.
Before joining Intermarket, Yemma was vice president for media relations at the New York Stock Exchange, working to emphasize the NYSE's increasingly global presence. Also, he was a senior executive at Chicago Mercantile Exchange where he was in charge of corporate communications.
Before moving into public relations, Yemma was a journalist for 15 years, as business editor of the Chicago Sun-Times and an editor and reporter at United Press International (UPI). While at UPI, he served as Midwest Division Editor, managing 100 reporters and editors across nine states.
Yemma has a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago and Bachelor in Journalism from the University of Texas (Austin). While at University of Texas, Yemma was editor-in-chief of the Daily Texan.
