Ashishkumar Chauhan
Ashishkumar Chauhan is the managing director and chief executive officer of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). He took over that role in July of 2022.[1] He was previously the managing director and chief executive of the Bombay Stock Exchange. He resigned in early 2022. He is credited with reviving the BSE, Asia's oldest stock exchange.[2] Under his leadership, the exchange successfully completed an IPO which BSE had been working on for 10 years. During his career at BSE, Chauhan introduced mobile trading and online real-time surveillance systems to the exchange as well as launched a number of new products including SMEs, currencies, mutual funds and corporate bonds. He was also instrumental in setting up the country's first international exchange, India International Exchange. He is a distinguished visiting professor at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada. Background[edit]Chauhan was one of the founding team members of National Stock Exchange (NSE), where he worked from 1992 to 2000. From 2000 to 2009, he was president and CIO of Reliance group.
