Benjamin J. Chrnelich is the chief financial officer of NYSE Technologies.

Chrnelich was named to the position on May 8, 2008, coming to NYSE from Lehman Brothers where he was CAO for equity sales and trading.[1]

At NYSE, Chrnelich is responsible for strategy, planning, business reporting and project management for the commercial-technology unit of NYSE Euronext.


Prior to Lehman, Chrnelich was the controller for Schwab Capital Markets and a vice president of finance at Robertson Stephens in San Francisco.

He began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York in their capital markets audit and business advisory group.


Chrnelich has a BS in accounting from Lehigh University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
