Bryan Harkins is the chief revenue officer for the electronic bond trading platform Trumid Financial. He was hired for that role in September 2021.

He was previously the president of BIDS Trading. a division of Cboe Global Markets. He was promoted to that role on March 24, 2021, after having served as executive vice president and head of the Markets Division of Cboe Global Markets.[1]

He was previously head of U.S. Equities and Global FX at Cboe. He joined the company when it acquired BATS, where he was executive vice president and head of U.S. markets, in February of 2017. He joined BATS in the January 2014 merger with Direct Edge, where he had been serving as chief operating officer since 2011.[2]

In 2014, Harkins was chosen by Crain's New York Business as one of its "40 Under 40."[3]

Harkins is the co-founder of Wall Street Rides FAR, an annual series of charity bike rides benefiting the Autism Science Foundation. He was appointed to the board of the Autism Science Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, in January 2020.[4]


Harkins joined Direct Edge in March 2007 as head of sales and strategy, and was promoted to COO when William Karsh left the company at the end of 2010.[5] Before joining Direct Edge, Harkins was managing director of transaction services at NASDAQ from 2001 to 2007. He has also been a strategic account manager at BRUT LLC and a technical account manager at Tradescape. Harkins began his career as an electronic connectivity specialist at Instinet Corp. in 1999.


Harkins earned a BA in Government & International Studies, Computer Applications in 1998 from the University of Notre Dame.[6] He has an MBA in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
