Bullish is a cryptocurrency exchange launched in November 2021. It is backed by several prominent investors, including Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, hedge-fund manager Louis Bacon, and Block.one. In 2022, Bullish called off a $9 billion deal to go public via a merger with a blank-check company.

In November 2023 Bullish announced it had acquired the crypto-focused media company CoinDesk in an all-cash deal.[1]

Bullish ran a pilot program from July 27th to September 13th, 2021 meant to allow investors to sample the Bullish trading interface with simulated crypto assets and fake money.[2]
