Chip Carver is a managing director of Markit, serving as their chief operating officer. He was previously the CEO of Swapswire, which in 2008 was acquired by Markit.[1][2]

Carver manages Markit's global technology development and infrastructure activities.
He served as the CEO of Swapswire for six years. He was also a managing director at Goldman Sachs, responsible for e-commerce for global interest rate products including government bonds and fixed income derivatives. Before that at Goldman Sachs, he managed their fixed income derivatives trading.

Carver holds a bachelor of arts degree from Hobart William Smith Colleges and a masters of business administration from New York University. He is a member of the board of trustees for Hobart and William Smith Colleges.[3][4]
