Catherine Clay
Catherine Clay is a Chicago-based exchange derivatives executive who is the global head of derivatives for Cboe Global Markets. She was promoted to this position in October of 2023. Previously, she served as executive vice president, global head of digital and data solutions.[1] She joined Cboe's executive leadership team at the same time she was promoted to lead digital and data solutions. [2] She was previously vice president, integration strategy and operations at Cboe. She was named to that position August 2016 after having been CEO of Livevol before Cboe acquired it in 2015. She is based in Chicago. [3][4] Background[edit]Before joining Livevol, Clay co-founded Thales, LLC, a market-making firm on the NYSE options trading floor. She began her trading career at Timber Hill LLC, Interactive Brokers' market-making company, where she was the manager of floor trading and a lead market maker on the NYSE Arca options trading floor from 1994 to 2006. Education[edit]Clay earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
