Catherine Clay is executive vice president, Cboe Global Markets Information Solutions, promoted from senior vice president in March 2021. She joined Cboe's executive leadership team at the same time as her most recent promotion and was picked to lead the exchange operator's Data and Access Solutions division. [1]

She was previously vice president, integration strategy and operations at Cboe. She was named to that position August 2016 after having been CEO of Livevol before Cboe acquired it in 2015. She is based in Chicago. [2][3]

Background[edit]

Before joining Livevol, Clay co-founded Thales, LLC, a market-making firm on the NYSE options trading floor. She began her trading career at Timber Hill LLC, Interactive Brokers' market-making company, where she was the manager of floor trading and a lead market maker on the NYSE Arca options trading floor from 1994 to 2006.

She received a bachelor's of science degree in journalism and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She also holds the Series 7 and 56 licenses.
