David Johnson currently serves as the director of the Clearing Corporation Charitable Foundation. He is also vice chairman of Advocate Condell Health System, an organization he has been involved with since 2005.
Johnson began his career in 1969 at DLJ/Pershing Company where he served as vice president. Ten years later he was named the first vice president of marketing and operations at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. In 1982, Johnson took a position with Morgan Stanley, a company he remained with for the next 22 years. He retired in 2005 after serving as the managing director. Throughout this time, Johnson served as a member of various exchanges including the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, the Chicago Stock Exchange, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Pacific Stock Exchange, and the American Stock Exchange. 
Johnson attended the New York School of Finance.
