David Rutledge was appointed as CEO of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre in December 2004, having joined as executive director in February 2003. His role included the development of the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange, where he was founding chairman and now a non-executive director. He also chairs the Dubai Diamond Exchange[1].
Background[edit]
Rutledge, a native of Australia, is a former CEO of the Sydney Futures Exchange and was chief economist at the Comex and senior vice-president for market development at the New York Board of Trade.

He holds degrees in economics and statistics from the University of Sydney and Stanford University.
