Fiona Bassett is the CEO of FTSE Russell, a London Stock Exchange Group-owned company. She joined the company from DWS Group. She is based in New York and reports to David Schwimmer, LSEG's CEO.

She replaced Arne Staal, who moved to another role within LSEG.[1]

Background[edit]

At DWS Group she held the roles of CEO, DWS UK and global head systematic investment solutions, managing more than $300 billion of assets under management. During her 20-year career in the finance industry, Bassett held various senior leadership roles across asset management and index investing at Deutsche Bank, latterly DWS Group.

Education[edit]

Bassett earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Birmingham in the U.K.
