Gregg Doud is vice president of global situational awareness and chief economist at Aimpoint Research.

Before joining Aimpoint Research, he served in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative as chief agricultural negotiator with the rank of U.S. Ambassador. He was one of the primary architects of the U.S.-China "Phase One" trade agreement.[1]

Earlier, he was the president of the Commodity Markets Council, a trade association that brings together commodity exchanges with their industry counterparts.[2]

Background[edit]

Before joining the Commodity Markets Council as president in May 2013, Doud was a senior staffer on the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee.[3] He also has served as chief economist of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association and as an analyst for U.S. Wheat Associates.[4]

Doud's worked with Senate Agriculture Committee member Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) and played an integral role in developing the 2012 Farm Bill.[5]

He has also worked at World Perspectives, Inc., ADM-Agri, LLC and the American Soybean Association.[6]
