Jeffrey Hogan is managing director of business development for BGC Partners, a global inter-dealer broker that provides integrated voice and electronic brokerage services.[1] In this role he is focused on regulatory, sales, product development and strategic development issues. He works out of the firm's London office.
Background[edit]
Hogan has been with BGC since its inception in 2004, when Cantor Fitzgerald separated the inter-dealer brokerage business from the rest of its operations such as investment banking and proprietary trading of fixed income securities. Before joining BGC, Hogan spent 19 years at Cantor Fitzgerald and eSpeed, the firm's electronic bond trading platform that was sold to NASDAQ OMX in 2013.[2] In these roles, he managed several derivative and cash brokerage units, served as managing director of e-commerce, and managed sales, product development and merger & acquisition activity.
Earlier in his career Hogan held trading and management positions at Bankers Trust and Manufacturers Hanover.
