John Battaglia is senior vice president and head of carbon markets at the environmental brokerage services subsidiary of BGC Partners, Inc. He is responsible for the growth of BGC's carbon business in North America, including markets in California, Quebec, and Ontario as well as for the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.[1]
He is based in San Francisco.

Before joining BGC, Battaglia served for eight years as a director in carbon markets at Evolution Markets in San Francisco. While at Evolution, he held several roles of increasing responsibility in the carbon business, most recently as the head of Canadian carbon markets.
