Ketan Patel is group risk officer at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx), where he oversees all of the HKEx group's risk functions and heads the risk management division, which was restructured in 2014 to include the enterprise risk management team that was previously part of the exchange's listing and regulatory affairs division.[1]

He was appointed to the position in 2015 after serving for two years as managing director, head of risk management for OTC clearing and co-head of clearing risk management at HKEx.


As co-head of clearing risk management at HKEx from 2012 to 2014, Patel was in charge of the risk management teams for fixed income, currency and commodities and OTC clearing.

Before joining HKEx, Patel held various risk management roles at CME Group from 2005 to 2011, most recently as executive director.


Patel earned a BS in Management from Purdue University and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
