Kevin Wenta is an executive focused on strategy, business execution, corporate/ business planning, strategic initiative implementation during his career.

Most recently, Wenta was director, strategy execution of the CME Group, responsible for working with the company's business units to identify, prioritize and track strategic initiatives to drive bottom line results.[1][2]

He reported to R. Jason Weller, CME managing director, corporate strategy.

Background[edit]

As of 2009, Wenta had 20 years experience in strategy, operational planning, sales and business development. Before taking the CME position, he served as executive vice president of Nanophase Technologies where he was responsible for transforming the company into a market driven organization. He also worked as a partner with Accenture, general manager of a $500 million global resin business and director of corporate strategy for Eastman Chemical.[3]

Education[edit]

Wenta earned his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA in finance and economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
