Léon Bitton is the vice president of research and development at the Montreal Exchange. He has led a majority of the research and development efforts affecting currently listed products on the exchange, and was an integral part of the development of the carbon market in Canada, or the Montreal Climate Exchange.[1]

Bitton was on the board of the research center CIRANO, the board of the Association des MBA du Québec, and the board of MITACS (Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems).

He holds Masters degree from the University of Québec in Montréal in collaboration with Florida International University.[2]
