Lance Uggla co-founded Markit in 2001 and is chief executive officer. [1]
Background[edit]
Before launching Markit, Uggla spent nine years at CIBC World Markets where he was most recently Head of Global Fixed Income. He joined TD Securities in 1995 where he was the vice chair and head of the company's European and Asian divisions. He was responsible for building all offshore debt capital markets activities and investment grade credit trading portfolios.

Uggla graduated with a BBA in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. He graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1986 with an MSc in Accounting and Finance. [2]
