Michael Ptasznik
Michael Ptasznik was appointed chief financial officer of Nasdaq effective July 11, 2016.[1] He was previously chief financial officer at TMX Group, where he worked for 20 years.[2] At TMX, he was responsible for strategic and financial planning and reporting, corporate development, risk management, corporate communications and investor relations. Ptasznick serves on the boards of CanDeal Inc. and the Canadian Depository for Securities Limited. [3] Background[edit]Before he was promoted to CFO at TMX in 2002, Ptasznik held several senior positions at Toronto Stock Exchange. Before joining the exchange in 1996, he was with Proctor & Gamble Canada, Inc. Education[edit]Ptasznik graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a B.B.A.(Honours). He obtained his Certified Management Accountant designation from the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario in 1992 and in 2007 he earned the designation of Chartered Director (C.Dir.) from McMaster University.[4] References[edit]
