Most recently, he served as the chief executive officer of Minium, Cinnober's post-trade technology and services subsidiary for international investment banks. He was promoted to the post in August 2018 after serving as chief operations officer since February 2017. [1][2]

He was the first member of Minium's management team and is based in London together with a team of experts in bank clearing, back office, and risk management.[3]

Background[edit]

Tessier was previously the global head of futures and OTC clearing operations at Citi, which he left in January 2017 after almost seven years in the role. Before that, he was EMEA head of exchange traded derivative operations at UBS.

He spent the first nine years of his career running the operations and compliance function of Finacor Vendome, the leading broker on the French derivatives exchange Matif. He moved to the UK in 1998 to run the European listed derivatives operations group of Credit Suisse. In 2003, he became the CEO for the London and Northern Europe business unit of GL Trade. He joined UBS in 2007 and ran their European listed derivatives operations for three years as they were completing the integration of ABN Futures and changing back-office platforms.[4]

Video[edit]

Why can’t banks and brokers use the same sort of technology that clearinghouses have access to? Minium, the new client clearing-focused subsidiary of Cinnober, is looking to address that very question.

In this video, Patrick Tessier, COO of Cinnober’s newly announced subsidiary Minium, talks about the evolution of post-trade processes and what Minium has to offer to banks and brokers.
