Rahael Seifu
Rahael Seifu is a San Francisco-based attorney who serves as the senior counsel for Google LLC. Since 2020 she has served as a member of the board of directors of the CME Group.[1] Background[edit]Seifu joined Google in 2014 and has served as a product and commercial counsel, acted as first chief of staff for the legal department and currently manages a team of lawyers supporting Googles internal business functions, corporate engineering teams and Alphabet Inc. Before joining Google, Seifu was a corporate associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP. She has also been a corporate associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Her areas of legal practice include commercial contracts, crisis management & planning, data security breaches, strategic risk & management, employee benefits, OSHA & workplace safety, mergers & acquisitions, privacy & data security, international data protection & privacy, workplace privacy and technology.[2] After law school, she served as a law clerk to the Hon. George B. Daniels of the Southern District of New York. As part of her responsibilities on the CME Group board, she sits on the Market Regulation Oversight Committee and the Compensation Committee.[3] Education[edit]Seifu holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Stanford University and a juris doctor degree from the Yale School of Law.
