Goldenberg was one of the founding partners of Goldenberg, Hehmeyer & Co. In 1999, Goldenberg moved to the United Kingdom to spearhead GHCO's expansion toward a global presence. He established the firm's London headquarters where he continues to manage GH Traders, the proprietary trading firm that formed as a result of the Penson Worldwide acquisition of GHCO.

On March 12, 2009, Goldenberg was inducted into the Futures Hall of Fame, which was established in 2005 to commemorate outstanding contributions to the global futures and options community.[1]

Goldenberg has been an active member of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) since 1961. At the CBOT, he served as vice chairman, 2nd vice chairman, director, and as a member of the executive committee.
