In addition, Goldenberg served as vice chairman of the business conduct committee, chairman of the Task Force on Member Opportunity in 1992, and chairman of the strategy committee in 1994.

In 1988 and 1989 Goldenberg was chairman at the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation. Prior to that position, he was vice chairman in 1987, and a member of the BOTCC board of governors from 1985 through 1990.

Goldenberg has been an active member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) since 1973, and was responsible for the startup of Goldman, Sachs & Co.'s operation there. He is a founding partner of Budget Rent-A-Car of Hawaii.
