Richard A. "Whitey" King was a longtime member of the Chicago Board of Trade. He died in 2019.
King also served as a director of the CBOT.
King bought his membership in 1965 and was a corn broker on the CBOT trading floor. In 1988, he brought his daughter Kelly King to the floor to work as a clerk. Later, he would help her buy a membership and they worked as partners in the corn pit at the CBOT filling customer orders
King retired in 2008, which was 18 months after side-by-side electronic trading and open outcry trading started at the CBOT in the agricultural markets.
