Ronit Jain
Background[edit]Liquid Compute[edit]Jain co-founded Liquid Compute with Aarav Patel in 2024. The company previously operated as Pluto and participated in Y Combinator’s Winter 2025 batch. Jain is the company’s chief executive officer. Liquid Compute’s stated business is to connect buyers and suppliers of computing capacity and develop standardized market infrastructure around that capacity. The company is based in New York City.[2] Jain and Patel met while studying electrical engineering and computer science at the University of California, Berkeley. The founders developed their approach around the view that computing capacity is heterogeneous, location-dependent, and perishable, creating a market-design problem involving the matching of supply and demand across time, geography, and infrastructure configurations. In this context, the company sought to apply elements of electronic trading, standardized contracts, and transparent price discovery to a market in which GPU capacity has generally been purchased through bilateral cloud and infrastructure arrangements.[3] As chief executive officer, Jain has represented Liquid Compute publicly in connection with its proposed regulated market structure. In the company’s September 2026 launch announcement, he described the objective as creating infrastructure through which physical users and financial participants could access, price, and manage compute resources.[4] Education[edit]Jain attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he and co-founder Aarav Patel studied electrical engineering and computer science.[5] References[edit]
