Russell H. Nevins
Occupation Fifth President of the NYSE (1830-1831)

Russell H. Nevins served as the fifth president of the New York Stock & Exchange Board, which in 1863 shortened its name to the New York Stock Exchange. Nevins followed James W. Bleecker as president.

The exchange, which had been created in 1792 with the signing of the Buttonwood Agreement, was formally organized with a constitution drafted in 1817.
