Simon Lewis is the CEO of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe ("AFME").[1][2][3][4]

Background[edit]

Before joining AFME, Lewis was the director of communications and the U.K. Prime Minister's official spokesman at 10 Downing Street. He has also held corporate communications roles with firms such as SG Warburg, Vodafone, Centrica and NatWest.

He first came to prominence in the U.K. following the death of Princess Diana when he was hired by Buckingham Palace to help stabilize its reputation after the tragedy of her death.

Education[edit]

Lewis holds a degree from Oxford University in philosophy, politics and economics. He also holds an masters of arts in political science from the University of California at Berkeley as a Fulbright scholar. He is a Visiting Professor at the Cardiff School of Journalism.
