Steve Eisman is the co-founder of Emrys Partners, a long-short fund scheduled for launch in January 2012. Eisman will collaborate with Rocwood Capital Management’s Jon Kalikow, Goldman Sachs Group’s Ed Cabral and JAT Capital Management’s Mark Weiner on investments that span multiple industries.[1]


Eisman is best known for his work as a hedge fund manager for FrontPoint Partners. He then bet against subprime mortgages and resigned amidst an insider trading scandal which heavily impacted the firm.[2]

In 2007, Eisman returned 81 percent from a subprime mortgage bet, a part of his Financial Horizons Fund.[3]

He is also known for his part in the best-selling book “The Big Short" by Michael Lewis.
