TRAFiX LLC is a broker-neutral financial technology company that provides order and execution management systems and connectivity solutions for global capital markets.[1]

The company develops software applications that support trading in equities and equity options. It serves buy-side and sell-side firms by facilitating multi-asset, multi-venue order routing, trade execution, and pre- and post-trade compliance within the institutional financial ecosystem.[2]

History[edit]

The firm was founded in 2013 by Walter Fitzgerald and Mohammad Yusuf Jan to build specialized systems for high-touch and low-touch trading environments.[3] The company established its headquarters in New York and designed a platform architecture to support continuous global order flow.[4]

In February 2023, the organization acquired Integrated Transaction Systems Ltd. and ITS Online Ltd., expanding its smart order routing technology and electronic trading services into the Canadian markets.[5]

The company raised a strategic growth investment from Marlin Equity Partners in November 2023.[6]

On September 30, 2026, Trading Technologies acquired the firm. The transaction integrated the company's cash equity and equity options technology with Trading Technologies' established platforms for futures, fixed income, foreign exchange, and cryptocurrencies to create a unified, multi-asset trading platform.[7]

Products & Services[edit]

The firm provides an order and execution management system that supports multi-channel workflow management. This technology enables institutional investors, asset managers, and proprietary trading firms to process electronic trading, high-touch, and direct market access orders across multiple venues. Its open architecture connects clients to exchanges, brokers, and algorithms to execute trades, access liquidity, and support price discovery.Cite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag

Risk Management[edit]

The company manages its internal operational and technology risk through hosted, cloud-native software deployments and encrypted network connectivity to secure trading activity. Its platform incorporates pre- and post-trade risk management checks to assist clients in monitoring their positions, profit and loss, and counterparty exposure in real time. These capabilities help clients minimize errors across their portfolios before settlement, while supporting broader regulatory obligations such as anti-money laundering monitoring.[8]
