Tal Cohen is co-president at Nasdaq. He is responsible for Nasdaq’s North American and European Market Services businesses as well as the company’s portfolio of marketplace technology, surveillance, risk management and regulatory reporting solutions.  
Cohen joined Nasdaq in April 2016 as senior vice president of North American Equities after the exchange acquired Chi-X Canada, where he served as CEO of Chi-X Global, then a wholly owned subsidiary of Instinet Inc. He was appointed to the position on September 7, 2010.
Cohen previously served as CEO of Chi-X Global's Americas business, which includes Chi-X Canada and the BVMF joint venture, Chi-FX Brazil. For nearly ten years before moving to Chi-X Global, Cohen held a variety of senior roles with Instinet, including head of Instinet Canada Limited, head of U.S. Business Development and Strategy, and multiple global product management positions. Before joining Instinet, he served as M&A Manager at American Express and before that as senior business advisor at Arthur Andersen.
Cohen holds a B.A. from SUNY Albany and an M.B.A. from New York University's Stern School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant.
