The Path to Electronic Trading
The Path to Electronic Trading is a video series from John Lothian News and MarketsWiki Education to tell the stories of the evolution from trading via shouting on a trading floor to trading electronically.[1]
The series was announced on September 10, 2020 by John Lothian News and was launched with an inaugural video of RJO CEO Gerry Corcoran. Corcoran inspired JLN to create the series by sitting for an interview where he talked about his one day of working on the Chicago Board of Trade trading floor in the summer of 1988.[2]
Corcoran was inspired to tell his story because of the JLN video series the Open Outcry Traders History Project.
John Lothian News will be publishing videos from the series on their JohnLothianNews.com website, as well as www.marketswikieducation.com.
