Tom Mallon is vice president of strategy and alliances for GlobalView.

Previously, he was global director of energy and commodities at Interactive Data. He has more than 20 years experience in the energy and commodities markets.

Background[edit]

Mallon's previous experience includes being head of commodities and energy for the Americas at Thomson Reuters, where he developed strategies, sales campaigns, content partnerships and product enhancement as well as supported the strategic growth plans for commodities and energy business in North America, Canada and Latin America.

He also founded a consulting firm focused on providing electronic trading and risk management for the financial services, commodities and energy marketplaces.

He has also held various senior management positions in strategic planning, global business development/joint ventures and project management at the New York Mercantile Exchange, where he focused on the development of electronic markets for the trading of energy and metals futures, physical natural gas and pipeline capacity, as well as the clearing of over-the-counter (OTC) energy transactions.

Mallon holds a bachelor of science degree from University of Scranton in computer science. He also holds a masters of business administration from Hofstra University.
