Vítor Manuel Ribeiro Constâncio is the vice president of the European Central Bank. He has also served as governor of Banco de Portugal from 2000-2010.[1]

Background[edit]

Prior to this, Ribeiro Constâncio served as executive director of Banco Português de Investimento from 1995-2000 and was non-executive director of the Portuguese national power utility, Electricidade de Portugal (EDP), from 1998-2000.

Education[edit]

Ribeiro Constâncio received a degree in Economics from Universidade Técnica de Lisboa.
