William D. Felder is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Southwest Securities, Inc., a member firm of the New York Stock Exchange.[1] Southwest Securities, Inc. is the principal broker/dealer subsidiary of SWS Group, Inc., a NYSE listed holding company with subsidiaries engage in processing securities transactions for correspondent brokerage firms and provides securities brokerage, investment banking, commercial banking and other financial services to individual, corporate and public clients.

Professionally, Felder is an allied member of the New York Stock Exchange and a past Chairman of the NASD District 6 Committee. He is also a past member of the Board of Governors of the Chicago Stock Exchange and a past member of the Securities Industry Association Clearing Firms Committee. Felder is currently serving as a member of the FINRA’s District 6 Nominating Committee, as a Trustee of the Securities Industry Institute and a member of the Board of Directors of the Options Clearing Corporation.
Felder joined Southwest Securities in 1980 and advanced to head correspondent administration in 1988. He was elected President of SWS Group in 2002 and served as the President and Chief Executive officer of Southwest Securities from 2004 until 2007.

Active in civic affairs, Felder serves as a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Episcopal School of Dallas. He is also a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Episcopal Foundation of Dallas and served on the Foundation’s Investment Committee.
