William R. Power

William R. Power William R. Power was an equities, futures and options trader and member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He was among the first market-makers at the CBOE on its first day of trading and also served on the board of directors of the CBOE. He was also an advisor to the New York Stock Exchange. Also, he served on the board of directors for the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX). He also served as the chair of the regulatory oversight committee for the MGEX and also on its executive committee. Background Power was born in Atlantic City, NJ and was a graduate of the Brooklyn Academy of the Arts High School and the College of Insurance. He grew up in Far Rockaway, NY. Each July, he would participate in the RAGBRAI ride (Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) across Iowa, which he completed 23 times. He formerly was the chairman and largest shareholder of Compumat, which marketed microcomputers, software, peripherals and related computer products and services. References
